Ofitres' innovative modular system for flexible workspaces receives international recognition for excellence in design, functionality, and construction quality.
Ofitres celebrates a new milestone in its journey with the prestigious Red Dot Award: Product Design 2025 for its Bimu system, designed by Fat.Iron Studio. This award, one of the most prestigious worldwide in the field of industrial design, honors high quality, functional innovation, and the ability to meet real needs with smart and appealing solutions.
The international Red Dot jury — composed of 43 experts from 21 countries — evaluated over 6,000 products from more than 60 nations to select this year’s most outstanding entries, assessing criteria such as innovation, functionality, formal quality, and responsibility.
A design for today’s and tomorrow’s workspaces
Bimu was created in response to new models of work, which are increasingly dynamic, collaborative, and constantly evolving. It is a lightweight, versatile, and highly customizable modular system that transforms open spaces into meeting rooms, individual work areas, brainstorming zones, lounges, or reception areas — according to the moment’s needs.
Its structure is built from modular aluminum profiles that can be assembled without tools, using a simple yet robust interlocking system. This feature makes Bimu a flexible solution that is easy to transport, install, and reconfigure as often as needed.
Four modular sizes for maximum adaptability
The Bimu system includes four structure sizes — 2×2 m, 3×3 m, 2×1 m, and 3×1 m — all sharing a common modular width, enabling seamless combinations and functional and aesthetic consistency across configurations.
Interior divisions can be created using a wide range of accessories, which attach directly to the frame without tools:
• Upholstered panel
• Wooden board
• Cork linoleum board
• Whiteboard
• Acoustic panel
• Round or flat slats
• Roll-up screens with round top and bottom slats
For outdoor use, Bimu maintains its modular philosophy, offering adapted accessories such as screens and round slats designed to withstand weather conditions without compromising on aesthetics or ease of use.
Smart accessories for flexible spaces
One of Bimu’s key differentiators is its accessory system. The pergola columns feature integrated metal anchors that allow panels, hooks, or lamps to be easily attached and repositioned — no additional tools required.
Mobile lighting fixtures (L and XL versions) are mounted on articulated arms to illuminate different areas flexibly and connect to the general power supply of the space. This solution eliminates the need for complex or costly electrical installations.
Design, functionality, and sustainability
The Red Dot Award especially recognized Bimu’s ability to bring versatility, creativity, and compositional freedom to workspace design. Its modular approach avoids fixed installations or expensive renovations, offering a sustainable and efficient solution for companies needing to adapt to changing environments.
Thanks to the combination of lightness, strength, and refined aesthetics, Bimu offers endless possibilities to create unique settings: meeting rooms, collaborative areas, individual focus zones, relaxation spaces, or reception areas.
A commitment to innovation and quality
This international award reinforces Ofitres’ commitment to innovative, functional design aimed at enhancing the workspace experience. The collaboration with Fat.Iron Studio and the focus on intelligent, sustainable systems form the basis of a solution designed to meet the challenges of modern work with efficient, stylish, and responsible answers.
